A Code Blue Weather Emergency notice is issued when the temperature drops to 32 degrees Fahrenheit or less between 4pm and 8am, including National Weather Service calculations for wind chill values. No one who is homeless and seeking shelter in New York City during a Code Blue will be denied. Should you see a homeless individual out in the cold, please call 311 and an outreach team will be dispatched to offer assistance.

Family Wellness

The BronxWorks Saturday Family Wellness Program aims to support maternal and family well-being through a combination of nutrition education, wellness, mindfulness, and self-care activities. We use a holistic approach to provide practical health and wellness education to empower women and their families to improve their social, emotional, mental, and physical well-being.

Each cohort will engage participants in Yoga and Meditation, Mindful Art sessions, Positive Communication discussions, Stress Management workshops, and more.

Breakfast, lunch, and childcare are provided to program participants. Additionally, in collaboration with the Workforce Development Department, GED-prep classes (for adults 25 and over) are provided. Get more information here.
