HomeBase is the BronxWorks homelessness and shelter prevention program for residents in Bronx Service Areas 1 (ZIP codes 10451, 10452, 10454, 10455) and 5 (ZIP code 10456). The program helps individuals and families avoid the trauma of homelessness by resolving immediate problems and obstacles that could result in the loss of housing. Program services are crafted to meet the unique needs of each individual or family as well as the demands of maintaining a household.
When you come to the HomeBase office, you will be assigned a case manager who will coordinate all services. Some of these services will be provided directly through HomeBase, and others will be provided by our community partners.
Services that are available to qualified households include:
- Assistance with Household Repairs
- Household budgeting skills
- Landlord mediation
- Legal services
- Referrals (Childcare, Education, Mental Health, Substance Abuse Services, etc.)
- Short-term financial assistance
If you do not live in ZIP codes 10451, 10452, 10454, 10455 or 10456, you may be able to get assistance through other eviction prevention programs.
