New York Bar Foundation Awards Grant To BronxWorks To Support Crime Victim Assistance

The New York Bar Foundation recently presented a grant of $5,000 to BronxWorks. The grant will be used to support their Crime Victim Assistance program.

“Funds provided by the New York Bar Foundation support our Crime Victim Assistance Program, which provides legal advocacy for those in need. These services are essential for those who do not have the means to access legal assistance themselves. BronxWorks is grateful for the support provided by the NY Bar Foundation and we look forward to continuing this work,” said Executive Director of BronxWorks Eileen Torres.

The New York Bar Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, is the charitable arm of the New York State Bar Association and has been having a positive impact on the legal community since its inception in 1950. The Foundation recently allocated grants to ninety-eight programs across New York.

Foundation grants assist non-profit organizations with essentials-of-life issues such as child support, consumer debt, housing, access to health care and education, and family matters such as domestic violence and family stability. Added this year was a focus on COVID-19 related issues, attorney wellness, and racial justice impacted programming needs.

BronxWorks is grateful for the NY Bar Foundation’s continued support and partnership.
