A Code Blue Weather Emergency notice is issued when the temperature drops to 32 degrees Fahrenheit or less between 4pm and 8am, including National Weather Service calculations for wind chill values. No one who is homeless and seeking shelter in New York City during a Code Blue will be denied. Should you see a homeless individual out in the cold, please call 311 and an outreach team will be dispatched to offer assistance.

Groundbreaking for First Phase of Bronx Point

BronxWorks was excited to join L+M Development and others at the groundbreaking for the first phase of Bronx Point last week. Bronx Point will provide 542 units of permanent affordable housing to the Lower Concourse neighborhood in addition to the permanent home of the Universal Hip Hop Museum. Hip Hop Legends Grandmaster Flash, LL Cool J, Chuck D, Fat Joe and others joined for the ceremony. BronxWorks will be providing social services at Bronx Point when it is opened in 2024.
