Sponsorships and Tickets available for purchase now!

Join BronxWorks for our 50th Anniversary Gala on May 18, 2023, at the
New York Botanical Garden! Celebrate 50 years of supporting the community! Enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeurves, and dinner amid one of the most beautiful and iconic sights the Bronx has to offer.

An ornate room with tables. There is a fancy light fixture hanging from the ceiling. The room is well-lit.

Since our inception in 1972, BronxWorks has grown from one location to over 50. What began as an organization dedicated to housing stability and benefits access for seniors has grown into one that assists over 64,000 Bronx residents of all ages annually through a myriad of services.

Over the last five decades, our services have evolved to reflect the community’s needs. In the 1980s, BronxWorks began to provide HIV Education in response to the AIDS crisis. The 1990s saw the addition of an innovative drop-in center for homeless adults, as well as children and youth programming. In the 2000s, BronxWorks began to significantly expand our workforce development services to support long-term financial stability for residents. The onset of 2010 led to the addition of BronxWorks supportive housing and a new focus to address the social determinants of health, an area in which the borough has historically struggled. The current decade thrust us into the pandemic, leading us to leverage these programs to provide holistic support.

As we look beyond our 50th year, BronxWorks remains committed to introducing innovative programming and enhancing our neighbor’s economic wellbeing.  Your support allows us to meet current challenges and adapt to future ones. We hope you will join us as we celebrate 50 years of lifting lives and building futures in the Bronx.
