Congratulations to two BronxWorks staff! Barbara Miliano, Program Director of The Brook Supportive Housing, and Noel Concepcion, Vice President of Adult Homeless Services, were honored at Governor Kathy Hochul’s Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration!

Barbara and Noel were recognized alongside other mental health professionals providing bilingual services in communities in New York. Both of them have dedicated their careers to the most vulnerable members of our community; Barbara has served as Program Director of The Brook since 2015, and Noel is about to celebrate 30 years of working in the BronxWorks Adult Homeless Services Department. We are so proud they are a part of the BronxWorks team!

Congratulations to Francis Palazzolo, BronxWorks Activity Coordinator and Artist-in-Residence, for his recognition at Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson’s Italian-American Heritage Month event!
The event featured music, food, and special recognition for Italian-Americans having a lasting impact on the borough. Francis was honored for his “artistry, compassion, and unwavering dedication to the Bronx community”.

At BronxWorks, Francis works directly with the unhoused population living in BronxWorks shelters on artistic activities, including organizing art shows and other showcase opportunities.
