When temperatures drop below freezing, the New York City Department of Homeless Services calls a Code Blue. Should you see anyone at risk, especially a homeless individual, please call 311. The BronxWorks Homeless Outreach Team will be dispatched to offer assistance.

BronxWorks food pantries operate on a client-choice model, allowing individuals to select the items they prefer. Distribution is based on family size to ensure appropriate support. We are appointment-based, and all clients must call the hotline (646.596.1316) on the designated call day to schedule an appointment. Appointments are issued on a first-call, first-served basis. Please note that some sites have limited availability, so we strongly recommend calling early, as appointments fill up quickly. Click here for a full list of BronxWorks pantry sites.

BronxWorks Prom & Graduation Clothing Giveaway

A collage of pictures. In the top left, two young girls hold dresses out in front of them and smile. One dress is yellow, the other is blue. In the top right photo, a boy and girl stand next to each other in front of silver balloons that read "PROM 2025". The girl holds a dress in a plastic dry cleaning bag and the boy holds a suit in a dry cleaning bag. In the lower left, multiple people browse clothing racks for dresses and suits. In the lower right, two women stand next to each other smiling. One woman holds a dark-colored dress and the other holds rainbow-colored boots.

BronxWorks Children & Youth Programs hosted our third annual Prom & Graduation Clothing Giveaway, supporting students who may not have access to suits or dresses and accessories for these momentous events! Our programs provide after-school and summer learning for Bronx middle school and high school students.

Thank you to all of our generous supporters who donated dresses, suits, ties, and accessories to make students’ proms and graduations nights to remember!

If you would like to support this cause in the future, or have any questions about the drive, please contact us at info@bronxworks.org. You can also make a monetary donation at any time to support BronxWorks programs.

Find your polling place.

Important Dates

Voting is one of the most effective ways to make your voice heard in government and affect real change in your local policies. Make sure to vote this upcoming election!

Voter Protection FAQ

Other Helpful Resources for our Bronx Neighbors:

  1. NYC Votes Online Voter Guide: NYC Votes offers a comprehensive election guide and is available in all 13 designated citywide languages. Voters can learn which offices are up for election, a full list of important dates before the election, potential ballot proposals, and more.
  2. My Vote NY: United Neighborhood Houses, of which BronxWorks is a member, shares this helpful website from the New York Civic Engagement Table providing lots of important voting information.
  3. Voter Protection Hotline: Have questions about voter registration deadlines, requesting absentee or mail-in ballots, or how to vote in-person during early voting or on Election Day? Call or text 866-OUR-VOTE (866-687-8683) to speak with a trained Election Protection volunteer. This service is also offered in multiple languages. Visit the website for more.
  4. Ranked Choice Voting: As a reminder, New York State now uses Ranked Choice Voting in primary and special elections! When you vote in primary and special elections, you will have the option to rank candidates in the order you like. You do not have to rank all candidates. For Ranked Choice Voting information in many languages, click hereNote: The general election in November will not use Ranked Choice Voting.
