Due to ongoing capital improvements at the BronxWorks Carolyn McLaughlin Community Center, the main entrance at 1130 Grand Concourse is closed. All guests, visitors and staff should use the accessible entrance located in the rear of the building through the parking lot on Carroll Place. Please exercise caution when entering and exiting the parking lot.

When the predicted heat index reaches 95°F or higher, the City of New York declares a “CODE RED”. During a Code Red, the BronxWorks Homeless Outreach Team will be working hard to help our most vulnerable neighbors get off the streets and into shelter. Weatherization Training Program

The BronxWorks Weatherization Training Program offers career preparation and technical training to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge to become an Energy Efficiency Technician or a Weatherization Field Crew Technician.

The program exposes residents to these entry-level career opportunities in the growing green economy field. Technicians help to assess homes and buildings for energy waste and implement measures to improve energy efficiency and save customers money. Program participants will be trained on the necessary tasks to succeed at this job, including learning what recommendations to make to reduce energy waste, such as installing insulation, sealing air leaks, and optimizing HVAC systems. Participants will receive wrap-around supports, incentives, case management support, and resources throughout the program.
