A Code Blue Weather Emergency notice is issued when the temperature drops to 32 degrees Fahrenheit or less between 4pm and 8am, including National Weather Service calculations for wind chill values. No one who is homeless and seeking shelter in New York City during a Code Blue will be denied. Should you see a homeless individual out in the cold, please call 311 and an outreach team will be dispatched to offer assistance.

BronxWorks Farm Stands are Open!

Fresh, Local, Affordable Produce available! Support local programs and farmers!

BronxWorks Farm Stands are now open. The Mott Haven Farm Stand takes place every Wednesday between 9:00am and 1:00pm until November 20th at Padre Plaza Garden at 549 E 139th St. The BronxWorks Community Farm Stand takes place every Thursday between 10:00am and 2:00pm until November 21st at the BronxWorks Carolyn McLaughlin Community Center at 1130 Grand Concourse. BronxWorks staff will be on-site providing recipes as well as conducting nutrition classes.

Come get fresh and local produce at affordable prices and support local farmers! BronxWorks Farm Stands accept CASH, FMNP coupons, Health Bucks, and EBT/SNAP. Additional incentives are available for people using SNAP Benefits.
