The HPD Section 8: Homelessness Prevention and Support Services program is an eviction prevention program that assists housing choice voucher holders who have Section 8 from New York City’s Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) located at 100 Gold Street. The program helps prevent incidents of homelessness and/or voucher loss to tenants throughout the Bronx community.

Services provided to eligible voucher holders include:
- Emergency grant assistance
- Emergency move assistance
- Failed inspection assistance
- Financial counseling
- Housing advocacy
- Mediation with government agencies
- Mediation with landlords
- Recertification assistance
Screenings to determine eligibility take place at the BronxWorks Carolyn McLaughlin Community Center every Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
